UNIT 2. THE GENERATION GAP
Topic: Talk about the different generations of your family
Sample:
Hello teacher and everyone. My name is __. I’m a student in class 11. I go to …. High School. Today, I’m going to talk about the different generations in my family.
In my family, there are three generations: my grandparents, my parents, and my generation.
First, I’d like to talk about my grandparents’ generation. My grandparents are over 60 years old. They have traditional views and value family relationships very much. They prefer a simple lifestyle and do not like changes in life very much. They also have many life experiences and often give useful advice to younger family members.
Next is my parents’ generation. My parents are in their 40s. They are hard-working and responsible. They are also open to new ideas and try to balance traditional and modern life. My parents care a lot about their children and always support me in my studies and daily life.
Finally, my generation is very different from the older generations. Young people today are more confident, creative, and open-minded. We are good at using technology and enjoy exploring new things. We also want to make our own decisions and have more freedom in life.
In conclusion, different generations have different ways of thinking and living, but each generation has its own strengths. We should respect, understand, and learn from each other to make our family closer and happier.
Thank you for listening.
